Seeing Jesus in 2020 clearly with 20/20 vision! Master, open our eyes.
2020 is going to be a turning point for us to see Jesus clearly and obey Him in our journey to love God and our neighbors. We are going to have 20/20 vision.
This isn’t about resolutions because resolve is short lived. Resolve runs out gas early and often. Resolve is not the issue.
Seeing with 20/20 vision is about seeing Jesus clearly, changing our minds (aka repentance) and acting differently.
- We will act differently because we will make different choices.
- We will decide to decide.
- We will act.
- We will follow Jesus and be resilient.
- We will not give up or give out.
- We will fight the good fight.
- We will be strong in Jesus.
- We will walk in His spirit and in His mighty power.
We must make the choice to learn to see.
Consider this from Jesus in Matthew 13:
10 Then the disciples came up and asked him, “Why are you speaking to them in parables?”
11 He answered, “Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them. 12 For whoever has, more will be given to him, and he will have more than enough; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 That is why I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see, and hearing they do not listen or understand. 14 Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says:
You will listen and listen,
but never understand;
you will look and look,
but never perceive.
15 For this people’s heart has grown callous;
their ears are hard of hearing,
and they have shut their eyes;
otherwise they might see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and
understand with their hearts,
and turn back—
and I would heal them.
16 “Blessed (aka as happy) are your eyes because they do see, and your ears because they do hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see the things you see but didn’t see them, to hear the things you hear but didn’t hear them.
Yes, it is a year of 20/20 vision. It is a year to see Jesus clearly.
Jesus stopped, called them, and said, “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Master,” they said to him, “open our eyes.” Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they could see, and they followed him.Matthew 20:32-34 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)
We were blind but now we see. Thank you Jesus for 20/20 vision!
Jesus will be moved with compassion. Jesus will touch our eyes. Jesus will open our eyes and we will see. We choose to follow Jesus.
Blessings for an amazing 2020 from the Christian Training Center.
I pray that the God of our Master Jesus the Messiah, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.Ephesians 1:17-19 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)
