The religious leaders and elites of Jesus day were afraid of a riot. Now that is rich. They arrested Jesus during Passover anyway and there was no riot.

The religious leaders had Jesus crucified. They were not going to let Jesus spoil things and take over. They were not going to have that at all.

When Jesus finished saying these things, he told his disciples, “You know that Passover comes in two days. That’s when the Son of Man will be betrayed and handed over for crucifixion.”

At that very moment, the party of high priests and religious leaders was meeting in the chambers of the Chief Priest named Caiaphas, conspiring to seize Jesus by stealth and kill him. They agreed that it should not be done during Passover Week. “We don’t want a riot on our hands,” they said. | Matthew 26:1-5

Jesus warned the disciples. Jesus warns me. They didn’t understand. Neither do I. I am no different than the disciples were. I am dense. My ignorance is showing.

Until! I! See! Jesus!

Until I met the resurrected Jesus that is. Now I get it. Now I see. Not before that moment but now it is different.

Nothing is the same now. I have seen Jesus.
