What is hope? Does hope change everything?

What is hope? Does hope change everything?

We need to find more hope. God is good and in a good mood. Justice, while lacking here some days, will be done. Beyond faith, we need hope.

It is right for us to hope. Hope is the total grounding of our confidence and expectation in God’s goodness and providential care even in the face of trouble.

And yes, we have our fair share of trouble. Despite all, because of Jesus, we are confident and have hope. God is God and Jesus is in control. God has a plan. It all works out for the beauty and glory of our Master. His will be done!

What is hope? What is the outcome of hoping in God? Will it bring security and confidence?

Most people understand hope as wishful thinking, as in “I hope something will happen.” I have been guilty of thinking that. It is common but not the truth of God.

This is not what the Bible means by hope. The biblical definition of hope is “confident expectation.”

Hope is up to me to be confident in my King Jesus. We must expect God to come through just like He has promised.

And … He will. Yes and Yes and some more Yes.

Can hope be Placed in God in the face of a difficulty or trial?

The mere sound of the name of Jesus causes us to remember to hope. We need to focus, with confidence, that what Jesus has promised will happen. Jesus is faithful.

Justice will triumph!

Can I hope based on scripture as the word of God?

Does God command that we have hope?

Somewhere between where I am today and Dante’s description, I need to find more hope. God is good and in a good mood. Justice, while lacking here some days, will be done. Beyond faith, I need hope.

Into the Darkness You Shine

This testimony of renewal is written by a beautiful girl in our INNsight Program for young adults. She is finding freedom in Christ, and in wholeness she is enrolling in college. God provided a job for her during her program that was a perfect fit for her talents and interests. She was surrounded by people who loved her while she worked and people who loved her when she was here with us. We are cheering her on as she sprints to the finish line of her program. In Him, all things are new!

“Into the darkness You shine. Out of the ashes we rise. There’s no one like You.” This song describes my story exactly. I was trying to be a Christian for a long time but remained broken inside because until I came to The Inn I wouldn’t allow God’s Word to shine into those dark places inside of me. Once the light of Christ shined in, this burnout deadbeat who went to church on Sunday and chased the next high on Monday began to rise from the ashes as a brand new creation to be set on fire in a new way, a heavenly way, and with a fire that will not run out. Oh, there is no one like Him! There is no one else who could take someone like me, corrupt in all my ways and turn me into a pure and righteous child of God. I’ve been redeemed by the blood of Jesus.”

Proclaiming The HOPE We Have

Have you ever spoken with someone who seemed hopeless? If so you know that being without hope affects everything:  words, decisions, appearance and life in general. We are not without hope and that is a  wonderful reason to celebrate. Join us in making this proclamation and let’s celebrate together ‘Christ In Us The Hope Of Glory’, may we help bring hope to the hopeless…

It’s Not Over Until The Last Net Is Lowered (Luke 5)

At the point when we think we are done, there may be something more. The fishermen from the boats had gone down from them and were washing their nets. Clean up was underway. It was over. They were done with fishing, all over but the putting away of the nets.
