Are we praying for snow in the summer?

Are we praying for snow in the summer?

God wants me to be wise. God wants me to understand that He is God. I am not.

God is great. Nothing is impossible with God.

God is good. God is good and just. God knows what He is doing.

We no more give honors to fools than pray for snow in summer or rain during harvest. ~King Solomon | Proverbs 26:1

The ultimate description of a fool is one who “says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ That is why I must start with God and who He is. I must get it right from the beginning.

They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good” (Psalm 14:1; 53:1).

Although fools can choose to become wise by heeding wise counsel and applying it (Proverbs 8:5; 21:11), the Bible warns against associating with fools (Proverbs 14:7).

Proverbs 13:20 says, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”

Monthly Giving

There is power in prayer. We see it every day. Let us join with you in tapping into the Power of God. Click here to make a request.

Monthly giving is an important way to support our mission. The most effective way to learn a foreign language is through immersion. In complete immersion, students spend all their time hearing and speaking a new language in a sequential and cumulative format. The goal is to become not only a proficient speaker, but to acquire an appreciation and understanding of a new culture. This approach describes the training process at the Christian Training Center. How will your monthly gift make an impact?

  • Family is the most vital relationship and the one under the most pressure and attack. Your gift will help bring healing and restoration to families all around the world.
  • Your gift will help impact college students during Heroes Semester is a 10-week semester program. This program is focused on personal and spiritual development for young adults. While immersed in a way of life that emphasizes the Word of God, prayer, relationships, family, servanthood and personal discipline, you will be renewed, trained, and challenged to walk with God in a deeper way.
  • Your gift will help impact teens through Heroes of Today Week long summer program Teens learn new life skills and they will discover more about their identity in Christ and what it means to live as one of God’s Heroes of today.
  • Your gift will give a college age student (summer) a residential position. It is open to Christian candidates who want to deepen and develop their faith while experiencing the demands of day-to-day ministry. These individuals help serve and mentor during our summer programs.

How does Jesus want us to pray?

The Jesus Manifesto continues as Jesus teaches me how to pray. It is not about how much I say. It is about the quality of what I pray. Jesus gave us a model that is succinct. It is short, sweet and to the point.

Jesus challenges me not to be someone who babbles on and on and on. God knows what I need. I’m not telling him something that He hasn’t already thought of. God wants to give great gifts because He cares.

Does the problem of man’s deprivation increase our need to pray for our government?

David Kubal is President of Intercessors for America, a 35+ year-old organization uniting believers in effective fasting and prayer for America. With over 25 years of national ministry experience, Dave is a seminary-trained ordained pastor and former Vice President with Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

He has a heart to share God’s vision for America with others, and has written several Bible studies and workbooks using material from his talks that are currently being published due to popular demand. He brings a powerful message for Christians seeking to deepen their prayer life.

Are we listening to Jesus?

Jesus is clear and Jesus has a question for me.

Am I listening to Him?

“Simply put, if you’re not willing to take what is dearest to you, whether plans or people, and kiss it good-bye, you can’t be my disciple.

“Salt is excellent. But if the salt goes flat, it’s useless, good for nothing.

“Are you listening to this? Really listening?”

Luke 14:33-34 (The Message)

Are there conditions to prayer?

God answers prayer. Mighty King David knows this in his heart. He has seen lots of trouble. God comes through.

David pleads with God. He goes after it, not just sitting back. He yells for help. He doesn’t ignore what is going on and shrug his shoulders. He doesn’t faintly whisper. David yells!

God answers him. God got him out of the mess he was in. God cares and is compassionate. God answers our prayer. We cry out sometimes in the middle of the night. We yell for help. God answers us even when no answer is an answer.

Can you pray for us?

Our programs are like an immersion into a new language – the language of living in Jesus.  The goal is fluency in the language of relationships.  Programs share a sequential vision, building an understanding of relationships and family culture.  The foundation is an encounter with Jesus.  This encounter is the means for both insight and vision.  Encountering Jesus leads a radical change in living and relationships.
