Should we lend a hand to those who falter? What is strength for?

Should we lend a hand to those who falter? What is strength for?

How can I help?

How can I help?

My oh my, there is some misguided thinking going on in this world. God has a goal for us. We are to tap into His power.

Why? To serve. That is all there is to it.

It is not about what is convenient. It is not about what is comfortable. It is not about me. It is not about status.

It is all about Jesus. It is about my brothers and sisters. It is about those who don’t know our Master Jesus the Messiah.

It is always about “How can I help?”

It is all about service. That is it. That is the main thing about the main thing.

God’s goal for us is to love. Jesus is clear about that. We show we are a follower of Jesus when we look out for the good of those around us.

“Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”

Romans 15:2 (The Message Bible)

Our programs are like an immersion into a new language – the language of living in Jesus.  The goal is fluency in the language of relationships.  Programs share a sequential vision, building an understanding of relationships and family culture.  The foundation is an encounter with Jesus.  This encounter is the means for both insight and vision.  Encountering Jesus leads a radical change in living and relationships.

Is God strong?

Strong in the Lord

Strong in the Lord

Some things are amazingly simple with God. Here is one of them.

God is strong. Nothing weak about him at all.

Like the energizer bunny he just keeps going and going.

  • He is always strong.
  • He never sleeps.
  • He doesn’t grow tired.
  • He has always been strong and always will be.

His desire for us  is that we will always be strong as well. He sent Jesus to die for us and to share in the power of His resurrection.

He gave His mighty Spirit so we could be strong. He has given us all the weapons we need to be victorious.

So there it is!!!

God is strong, and he wants you strong. Ephesians 6:10

May we always be strong, just as He is.
