How do we make discipline lasting and effective?

Transformation in Singapore through God and our Train to Reign program.

What does it mean to be a man?

Train to Reign Day 3 Larry Pons Men’s Talk

One evening, while in my latter 20’s, I was watching Johnny Carson on TV. For those of you who don’t know or remember him, he was (and forever will be, in my opinion) “the king” of late-night television. Burt Reynolds was one of his guests on this night, and they were talking about various topics, including what it means to be a man.

Is it duty? Is it intimacy? What does God want?

Susan Pons – Train to Reign Family Program Day 2 Week 1

I and the Father are one. (John 10:30)

For this reason, a man shall leave father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. (Matthew 19:5)

…For the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready. (Revelations 10:9)

Jesus kissed us by His grace and we forever fell in love. Family is relationships.

Join us for the opening night (2014) of the CTCI family program, Train to Reign.

Isaiah 45:3 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

I will give you the treasures of darkness and riches from secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord. I am the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

The Vision of the Christian Training Center International

Our staff and interns share their story of how Christian Training Center International has impacted and changed their lives.

The Christian Training Center International was founded in the early 1970’s as The Inn of the Last Resort. It is now known throughout the world for its outreach to families, Christian leaders, and young people. Our focus is to enable individuals – especially young men and women – to face and overcome the mounting issues and pressures in their daily lives.

The most effective way to learn a foreign language is through immersion.  In complete immersion, students spend all of their time hearing and speaking a new language in a sequential and cumulative format.  The goal is to become not only a proficient speaker, but to acquire an appreciation and understanding of a new culture.  This approach describes the training process at CTCI.

Our programs are an immersion into a new language – the language of living in Christ.  The goal is fluency in the language of relationships.  Programs share a sequential vision, building an understanding of relationships and family culture.  The foundation is an encounter with Christ.  This encounter is the means for both insight and vision.  Encountering Christ leads to insight and results in vision.

Building An Ark For Your Family

Brittany shares a Train to Reign Devotional on what it means for a father to protect his family in Hebrews 11:7.

Hebrews 11:7 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Why did Jesus visit the wedding in Cana?

2019 summer intern Courtney Potter shares this mornings devotion from John chapter 2.

On the third day a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’s mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding as well. When the wine ran out, Jesus’s mother told him, “They don’t have any wine.”

“What does that have to do with you and me, woman?” Jesus asked. “My hour has not yet come.”

“Do whatever he tells you,” his mother told the servants.

Now six stone water jars had been set there for Jewish purification. Each contained twenty or thirty gallons.

“Fill the jars with water,” Jesus told them. So they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the headwaiter.” And they did.

When the headwaiter tasted the water (after it had become wine), he did not know where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew. He called the groom 10 and told him, “Everyone sets out the fine wine first, then, after people are drunk, the inferior. But you have kept the fine wine until now.”

Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

After this, he went down to Capernaum, together with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.
